True!

Dogs only produce sweat on areas not covered with fur, such as the nose and paw pads, unlike humans who sweat almost everywhere. However, they do have sweat glands, called apocrine glands, associated with every hair follicle on their body.

I had to look up apocrine glands. Learn something new every day.

“Eccrine glands produce and release an odorless, clear fluid that evaporates and aids with heat loss. Apocrine glands, located in the armpits and genital area, secrete a thick fluid that releases an odor when it mixes with bacteria on the skin’s surface.” https://www.petmd.com/news/view/how-do-dogs-sweat-37585

“eccrine sweat glands is limited to the footpads.”
