Would sincerely like to know what motivates a native-born American (from Ohio, yet) to switch loyalties to a fanatical organization dedicated to destroying his homeland.
It is especially interesting that this all apparently occurred online. So he didn't have Islamic "friends" actually patting him on the shoulder and offering him "pick-up tricks" while they downed "cold ones" at the local bar. No one to actually "pal around" with.
So what caused him to switch loyalties? If we knew that, we could develop an algorithm to detect such traitors earlier.
Or - he's just a nut-job.
