Do those guns look new - or are they Korean War re-treads. Mr. Claret says they are AR-15s. I thought I read the Military uses M-16s. What is the difference? Could these “soldiers” be impersonators?

Sorry nanette. I was just making fun of your "Clip" comment. Perhaps I should take a little space to explain:

The AR 15 is the basic Armalite rifle platform that is also available to civilians.

The M16 rifle is the military variant which unlike the civilian version is a select fire weapon capable of fully automatic fire. The M4 carbine is the current issue variant of the platform. Instead of full auto capability, it is limited to three round bursts or semi auto.

The Armalite Rifle platform rifles are magazine fed, meaning the weapon is loaded via a removable box magazine containing the cartridges. 30 rounds is standard capacity. The M16/M4 is an assault rifle firing a reduced power cartridge. It replaced the full power battle rifle, the M14 which was also magazine fed. The M14 replaced the M1 Garand battle rifle which was clip fed as were previous battle rifles.

Too much info, perhaps, but I hope this clears things up a bit.

Thank you so much for the info. Did it clear things up? Not really. 😬 But you didin’t answer my question. Could they be imposters?
