Getting Congress to approve something is very easy when the political winds are blowing in the right direction. That means public opinion.

Do let me know when the Military Commissions Act of 2009 is changed in response to public opinion.

Did you not post #3602?

“Holding a Gitmo military tribunal without Congressional approval could subject the officials involved to a charge of war crimes (violation of Geneva convention) in addition to violation of U.S. law.”

Yes. Did you not read my #3619 addressed to you?

The position of Congress is expressed in the Federal law. Getting their approval involves getting them to change that law.

The Military Commissions Act of 2019 was the express opinion of both houses of Congress, as enacted into law.

http://www.mc.mil/portals/0/mca20pub20law200920.pdf

"§ 948c. Persons subject to military commissions

"Any alien unprivileged enemy belligerent is subject to trial by military commission as set forth in this chapter.

Federal law says that those who may be tried by military commission are alien unprivileged enemy belligerents.

In the issuance of this Federal law, Congress expressed its disapproval of any military commission assuming jurisdiction to hear any case against any United States citizen. Until the law is changed, no military commission will have jurisdiction over any U.S. citizen, not even one who may fit the description of unprivileged enemy belligerent.

When the American people find out what’s really been going on (from JFK assassination to crimes against children) and let Congress know how they feel, Congressmen will crawl over broken glass to approve military tribunals.

When they actually change the Military Commissions Act of 2009 to permit such commissions to try American civilians, let me know.

That was signed by Obama.

He sure got that one passed quickly to protect himself later on. But none of his signatures were valid.

I believe his illegitimate terms in office will be annulled.

I believe his illegitimate terms in office will be annulled.

Your belief is a legal absurdity.

While your argument that Obama was illegitimate has been rejected by the courts over 200 times, even if such claim were assumed as true, your absurd claim that all acts of Obama would thereby be annulled would still fail due to the de facto officer doctrine.

Black's Law Dictionary, 11th Ed.

officer de facto. (18c) 1. An officer who exercises the duties of an office under color of an appointment or election, but who has failed to qualify for office for any one of various reasons, as by being under the required age, having failed to take the oath, having not furnished a required bond, or having taken office under a statute later declared unconstitutional. 2. Corporations. Someone who is acting under color of right and with apparent authority, but who is not legally a corporate officer. • The corporation is bound by all acts and contracts of an officer de facto in the same way as it is with those of an officer de jure. — Also termed de facto officer.

Norton v. Shelby County, 118 U.S. 425, 441 (1886)

The doctrine which gives validity to acts of officers de facto, whatever defects there may be in the legality of their appointment of election, is founded upon considerations of policy and necessity, for the protection of the public and individuals whose interests may be affected thereby. Offices are created for the benefit of the public, and private parties are not permitted to inquire into the title of persons clothed with the evidence of such offices, and in apparent possession of their powers and functions. For the good order and peace of society, their authority is to be respected and obeyed until, in some regular mode prescribed by law, their title is investigated and determined.

State v. Carroll, 9 Am. Rep. 409; 38 Conn. 449 (1871)

9 Am. Rep. 409

Officer de facto — acts of, valid.

The Judgment of a judge de facto is valid.

An officer de facto is one whose acts, though not those of a lawful officer, the law, upon principles of policy and justice, will hold valid, so far as they involve the interests of the public and third persons, where the duties of the office were exercised: 1. Without a known appointment or election, but under such circumstances of reputation or acquiescence as were calculated to induce people, without inquiry, to submit to or invoke his action, supposing him to be the officer he assumed to be. 2. Under color of a known and valid appointment or election, but where the officer has failed to conform to some precedent, requirement or condition, as to take an oath, give a bond, or the like. 3. Under color of a known election or appointment, void, because the officer was not eligible, or because there was a want of power in the electing or appointing body, or by reason of some defect or irregularity in its exercise, such ineligibility, want of power, or defect being unknown to the public. 4. Under color of an election or appointment by or pursuant to a public, unconstitutional law, before the same is adjudged to be such. (See note, p. 484.)

“While your argument that Obama was illegitimate has been rejected by the courts over 200 times,”

How hard is it to get courts to run like cowards away from political pressure?

Or toward a thick envelope of cash passed discreetly into the hands of a judge?

If you think the deep state didn’t bribe or threaten every one of those judges, you’re living a fantasy.

Let’s see what happens. Law in this country is all about bending language to fit political compulsions. When the truth about Obama comes out, politics are going to go in a direction you’ve never dreamed of.

Tonight, I've been looking at the inaugural broadcast again and comparing footage taken from the viewing platform with the national broadcast images.

Here is an image from citizens footage of the "inauguration."

The rest of the Capital is empty so the press could have been allowed closer. Throughout the 4 minute clip, the sky is overcast and grey. This is what the sky looked like 2 minutes before Lady Gaga sang the Star Spangled Banner.

The video and images were taken from the press viewing platform located too far away to identify participants well. There's no sunlight reflecting off of anyone on the viewing platform on this freezing, gray day.

Here's a reflection of some on the viewing platform  off the glassed wall of the building. Note all have soft, barely discernable shadows.

People are dressed warmly because the weather is 25 degrees, the sky is overcast, and the narrator says it had been snowing.

I wonder if the Jumbo-trons  in the picture below were playing the recorded version of the 'event' as the colors seem more vibrant and brightly lit than everything else around.

[Sidenote: The narrator recognizes this reporter (below, foreground) Eric with TBN, as a good, conservative source, but how good can he be if he's part of this sham? You can hear a portion of his inaugural reporting.]

Note in the background, a reporter has extra lights immediately in front of him which may better match the "sunny" day shown in the national broadcast.

Below, as Gaga begins to sing, "Oh say, can...." here's the  lighting and the sky shown in the national broadcast:

Below is the same scene, just as she begins to sing, as filmed from the viewing platform. In fact, the Jumbo-trons may be showing the network broadcast with a brightly lit Capitol with a section of bright blue sky in the upper left.

(h/t LittleLinda for locating Q1353 dated May 13, 2018 1:42:28 AM EDT)

Trying to remember back to 2018 hurts my brain, but I think these people were believed by some anons to be members of Obama's shadow government. Does that sound familiar?

Time for them to move out of the shadow government and into the terrible terrible light. Some have already surfaced in Biden's regime.

Some like Jamie Barnett seem to be serving a government role while in a private business position (e.g., Jamie  Barnett, government services, cyber security, AI etc.)
