Mr. RightField’s father, a retired Captain in the Navy, passed away this past Tuesday. He will be buried in Arlington (his wife was buried there in 2016). When she died, it was 6 weeks before she was interred. I’ve heard Arlington still has a long wait for burials. It was closed for a while in the summer, so there still may be some backup.
We’re hoping it will take an equally long time to schedule his dad. We have no desire to travel up there anytime soon.
Very sorry for your loss. I bet he had a lot of interesting stories about his time in the Navy!
