What exact data are you stating is collected?
Anything you do on those platforms is saved. You wouldn't believe it unless you see it. If I wanted to see how many times people said "Trump" on FB, I'd get back a monster block of data that would contain everything... depending on the search criteria that I set up of course. But channel info, names, dates... the contents of every post and links to any images that fit the criteria. FB sells that access to anyone that can pay.
