B4 radar detectors CB radio was a great way to avoid the “Smokey’s” Dad liked those radar detectors. He'd point the radar away until the vehicle was too lose to avoid it. If he saw that device in the car when he stopped you, he assumed you intended to break the law and wrote you every ticket he could think of.
