I think there is a National Security Op in place. The roadblocks are indicative of a Search for specific targets in vehicular traffic around DC.
The op around the state capitols are likewise, the constabulary on standby as well as NG being deployed smacks of organizing a national Op under the guise of local dissidents activity.
I believe the dissidents are planning national protests or worse ( these will be put down hard) hence the warning to “stay away from these centers of attraction “ in our state capitals.
I also believe if the balloon goes up against the DS the US Marshals will”Snatch and Grab” the DS players under cover and confusion of the protests.
I would expect the zero hour around noon on the 20th, but could be sooner since assets are in place now. The key for me is OPSEC vs timing to allow use of the Emergency Broadcast System.
I would also like to see tonight after midnight (the 17th) with America waking up on Sunday morning to a new “Day of Infamy” with the airwaves filled with the truth of the DS evils and those responsible as well as POTUS plan for the way forward.

Building on that, It looks like the good guys are trying to keep the bad guys from even showing up with this display of overwhelming force. The bad people don’t like checkpoints either.
I believe our good guys, the military, have infiltrated the bad actors and know what they are going to try.
Sec. Pompeo said, “China is already within our Borders.” Could the stopping/searching of cars be rounding up Chinese operatives and their Congressional facilitators? That would certainly cover enemies “foreign” and “domestic” all at once. 2 birds with one stone, so to speak.

Folks, what we are about to witness is the greatest military event since D-Day and Normandy Beach in WW2. NOTHING can stop what is coming. No doubt, blood will be shed. Please pray for our President, our Troops, confusion in the camp of the enemy, and for our Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
What I would expect over the next several days based on the above drop - an EBS from POTUS and then likely an internet and media blackout with a short-term lockdown for our safety.

One final thing, do not get caught up in the hype of this whole Chinese invasion at our borders. It is disinfo. Trump and our military would be acting completely different if this were taking place and our military air traffic does not support this information.
