Biden got a bad rap on that.

Pres. Obama first mentioned the seals, but not which team, on 05/02/2011 as reported by the NYTimes.

The Washington Post was first to identify the seals as Seal Team 6 on 05/02/2011.

Biden mentioned it the next day at a dinner. He did not name names nor did he mention which Seal Team.
