Interesting little saga. I remember Alphonse D’Amato, didn’t know this about him. Another factoid about excito-toxin is that the well known MSG is one, but also the oddity known as “natural flavor” is more or less the same thing. More and more products contain “natural flavor” and people assume it’s actual flavoring of some kind. Just tricks the tongue and the brain and I can’t remember more than that, I did read a very intersting book a few years ago about this topic.
If I mistakenly eat something with “natural flavor” as an ingredient, I can immediately taste it, has a bitter aftertaste and is just creepy.
Definitely something to completely avoid.
You are absolutely correct, Kemo Sabee; and about masked ingredients in many comestible consumables. Substances like salt or sugar have dozens of ways of being 'masked' in a list of ingredients. (Don't know about soylent green.)
