Even if an enemy came at DC with heavy artillery and 18 wheelers they are ready. And they can call in air support. Ready for an extended siege. Supplies could even be air lifted.
The only 'heavy (as opposed to light) artillery in CONUS is the US mil. 'An extended siege' from???????
