Mountain lion hunting has been banned in Kalifornia for about 20 years. The population of lions has exploded. The fires drove them closer to human population areas. There will be more problems this Spring

Agree. I had at least one mountain lion at the far end of my paper route on the Inverness Ridge of the Point Reyes Peninsula 57-58 years ago, and never stayed around there to cadge tips when collecting.
