“So again who gets to decide what speech is allowed?”
The person or persons who own the medium.
No one *owes* you or me a single electron of connectivity, no newspaper owes you or me one column-inch. Sure, if we’ve paid for something and aren’t in violation of a contract we’ve agreed to, but Twitter, FB, every newspaper, Amazon, private entities.
Freedom of the press is strictly the privilege of those who OWN one.
If you own it then ban it if you like but don’t lecture others how you’re for free speech. I get it, you own the site do as you please. If there is a site that does allow the free flow of information then as I said you take the good with the bad. But those sites are not allowed by either side of the aisle. What we are finding is in reality unless the words come from your mouth or pen to paper there is no free speech and if your employer doesn’t like what you say at the bar or church or the neighborhood bbq then he tells you to shut up or else, so is there really such a thing as free speech in America? Not really the corporations regulate their slaves quite well. I’m glad the founding fathers ignored their version of corporations the crown and at least gave us a good 200 year.
