The Electors’ votes go to either the Library of Congress or the National Archives, routed there by an Act I don’t recall the name of right now from the late 1800s. They are kept there and only the votes considered valid from the states continues to the Vice President. Therefore, Mike never saw alternate votes to select—he could only set argued votes aside with what he got.

That makes sense and as I said, Pence was going to follow the rules and why PDJT thought he wouldn't is beyond me. He had some really bad advice in this process.

That said I would never vote for Pence. There are questions as to how he was selected for the VP. Also Pence's link to some of the people who actually opposed Trump's agenda being brought in to the Whitehouse early on in the administration. There was also a concern that leaks were coming out of the VP’s office during the Administration. So all in all I do not trust a Christian swamp creature anymore then I trust a secularist swamp creature. If a rich man going to heaven is like pulling a camel through the eye of a needle a politician going to heaven has to be like pulling a blue whale through the eye of a needle.
