It’s only effective as a rallying cry to a few hardcores. Not the general population of the US. The censors and other enablers of tyranny don’t even believe, it’s just an excuse.

I don’t think it’s a matter of choosing one or the other. But as we wait for Trump’s second term, finding the language to describe the Stalinistic impulse is important. Saying that people got deplatformed or kicked off is not adequate. The doxxing that’s being done to family members of people who only attended the rally, getting them fired, the recent “struggle session” with Jim Jordan; these are all the exact tactics of Mao and Stalin before they became megamurderers. We need to name that.

In some communities. But many people live in areas where it will prevent you from getting hired.
“white supremist” has been overly used that like the word “racism” people just tune it out....
