I haven’t read about any confiscation plans, yet. But I’ve read about plans to forcibly convert a portion of everyone’s 401k’s into 30-year government bonds paying maybe 2 or 3%.

That wouldn’t be theft (so they say), because they’re not taking anything from you. They’re just moving your money around a bit.
