A HUGE pile of broken glass has been dumped in our path forward, and overcoming it will involve crawling for MILES over that broken glass to get back to our original objectives.
It will hurt, there will be extensive blood loss, and no assurances that the end will come into sight for a long time, perhaps years. but the alternative is even more daunting, and ultimately, devoid of any road to betterment.
The militant command-and-control regime will emerge from its trappings of “equality” and “fraternity”, and proceed to exercise naked power, based more on whims than on any responsiveness to the needs and desires of the people, and will be patterned very much on the Communist Chinese Party regime. A hegemony will be established over all its neighbors and even localities at far reaches from the homeland, tied by economics and practice of selecting local “winners” and “losers” at the far-flung corners of this new empire.
Is there hope? Yes, because ALL history will not be erased, and there shall remain the mythical tale of a nation that broke out of the pattern, and thrived for a span of years over parts of four centuries. The ideals of freedoms extending to life, liberty, and the quiet enjoyment of property and its resulting fruits, through the efforts of the possessor of that property, and the relative light hand of a citizen-selected government responsive to the changing needs of its citizens, shall remain enshrined in various records and historical monuments of that vanished land, only awaiting the spark of freedom to unleash the vast potential of that set of principles.

Well I wouldn’t be that hasty about the death of the American “camelot” just yet...
Unlike the CCP which has a monoculture of historically passive peer pressure guided Chinese...the Democrats are a loose confederacy of differing ethnic groups, of competing cultures operating out of differing moral frameworks. Many are melded together by blending of mystical thinking and wrong headed notions that somehow science supports their mystical fantasy utopian ideas; if you think yourself the opposite sex, or believe really hard that you can heal nature, then all your dreams will come true. The Dems can only keep things together by painting those who hold to a Judeo Christian morality and traditional American group think as vicious evil racist nazi monsters. The issue with the Dems is unlike the real Nazi’s, the various factions they try to hold together don’t trust each other well. If the Conservatives just step back and reverse Cloven and Piven the Democrats, then the Dem’s will have discovered that their rhetoric and actions have written IOU’s that they can not pay back and the party will implode.
The issue is that our nation does have nuclear armed enemies and a nation with at least 30 to 50 per cent of its population suffering a loss of moral clarity and confidence would be easily swayed by fears and threats from other nations. The biggest victory for China would be if Americans lobbed nuclear missiles at each other...Cain and Able locked in battle only this time both Cain and Able are destroyed.
We traditional Americans have the better vision but we are encumbered by our normalcy biases and a fear of tough times ahead. We are in disarray.
