Yes there was. By antifa. All MAGA rallies in DC get assaulted or hijacked by antifa. I posted back in December that this rally was a bad idea because antifa would cause violence and it would get blamed on MAGA.
The rally was not a good idea
I agree the rally was not a good idea, but not just because Antifa and friends would infiltrate, but also because whacko attention hogs like Buffalo Hat Guy (who apparently spectacularly attended every sort of protest gathering he could get to, from BLM to Sky-Is-Falling environmentalist events to Trump rallies and claimed he was a Q follower) and the white supremacist dingdongs who want attention and show up at whatever prominent protest they can worm their way into, and hotheads like this guy (dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9131441/Trump-fanatic-arrested-texting-friends-saying-wanted-shoot-run-Nancy-Pelosi.html). Lacking any organization to weed out these types while tweeting it would be “wild” was not prudent. Of course Buffalo Hat types and hotheads showed up. And of course the peaceful Trump supporters moseyed on into the Capitol building behind them, caught up in the moment and not really thinking what they were doing. It was a Fatal Error.
