Unless there is a specific law that prohibits people from entering the Capitol building, entering offices, and putting feet up on desks, he technically did nothing wrong.

Most of the Senators were/are. It was THEIR place that got violated. Apartment dwellers trapped in the CHAZ (Seattle), the Red House Zone (Portland), or people living between burned out businesses in Minneapolis, St. Louis, etc. - they were barely mentioned when they were occupied for weeks by the “peaceful protests”.
But swarming into the Capital building for an afternoon(while minding the velvet ropes protecting the wonderful murals and statues) becomes an insurrection.
