With 5G coming the need for “apps” “approved” by Apple and Google will become less important. All of this stuff is web browser accessible and it’s fairly easy to put a web link button onto your device home screen that looks like an app button. Apple can control the apps, but they cannot control the browsers

Lot of good that will do when T-mobile, AT&T and others start blocking things at the DNS level.

Most web-based “apps” blow chunks. No push notifications, shit navigation all running on some sort of Wordpress, joomla or drupal. People want and expect stand-alone apps nowadays.

That is where a VPN comes in to play.

They can’t see where you are going with that.

(they could block the VPN though)
