All sites on the Internet have IP Addresses. These are stored on Domain Name Servers, so that you don’t have to have a book of addresses to get to a site.
When the Internet was first developed we used to have to look up names and enter the IP (Internet Protocol) number to reach the server (site) we wanted.
Once browsers were developed, we then were able to browse the web.
I guess this tell you how long I’ve been on the web.
