I’m pretty much at that point now. I absolutely will refuse to talk to anyone I don’t know about politics, and if they start, I will tell them to stop or walk away.

Me too. And when one did, people would just shrug and say, “to each his own.” Or “we’ll agree to disagree” or “it takes all kinds.”
