“wouldn’t it be something if pence actually did the right thing?”
I’m still cogitating about it but here’s another log for that fire. Pence and Trump met at the House White, I think it was 1/4. So Trump knew exactly what Pence was going to do. Pence also gave the impression to the press that he wasn’t going to cause any problems with the usual electors. Trump’s statements prior to the event only make sense if Trump knew how it was going down. “I hope he does the right thing...” Do we think the President sent Pence in there “hoping” he would do the right thing? That’s how easily the last chance died? Nahhhhh.....
I was surprised when I got here late on the 6th and everybody was having a heart attack.

Good post. Here's moar. Didn't both POTUS and Pence leave NY's Eve plans abruptly to come back to DC? If I recall they met at the White House until late one night. POTUS mentioned hoping that "Mike do the right thing" several times in the GA speech and then he tweeted about it, too. I think there was a report or tweet that they were on the same page. Then during the 6th speech, he said the "Mike" thing twice in a positive way and then the 3rd time with a different tone and added that he wasn't hearing good things. Right before that moment, Pence's letter was released where we knew how he was going to act. Sooooo...was this all just part of the plan because you are right--POTUS would not say something without knowing the answer. Like when he says--where's Hunter? or where's Hillary? (h/t Simon Parkes on that last part)
