There he is making his case...
The remedy IS NOT to certify questionable electors - the remedy is to settle the dispute with a debate and then one vote from each state.
The Constitution had been used as toilet paper by most of Congress.
Rand Paul on the Senate floor: “I can’t vote to overturn the verdict of States”
Rand Paul has lots of company:
John Roberts “I can’t vote to overturn the verdict of States”
Brett Kavanaugh “I can’t vote to overturn the verdict of States”
Amy Coney Barrett “I can’t vote to overturn the verdict of States”
Neil Gorsuch “I can’t vote to overturn the verdict of States”
Mitch McConnell “I can’t vote to overturn the verdict of States”
kevin McCarthy “I can’t vote to overturn the verdict of States”
Mike Pence “I can’t vote to overturn the verdict of States”
and on and on and on and on and on and on it goes——
RE: Rand Paul on the Senate floor: “I can’t vote to overturn the verdict of States”
Rand Paul is being disingenuous. Just two weeks ago, I saw him on video stating that he believes there was massive fraud perpetrated in this election.

If he sincerely believes what he said, then it has to follow that what was submitted to Congress was NOT the real verdict of the states. It was a fraudulent, unconstitutional verdict that subverted the will of the voters of these disputed states.
So, his use of the word “overturn” is out of place here ( that is, if he believes his own speech ). The right word to use is to RESTORE the verdict of the states.
So, does he or does he not believe that the election results were fraudulent as he himself said so?
Now, if he is not sure that the fraud was insignificant to have changed the official result, what’s his problem with MAKING SURE that this is indeed so?
Ted Cruz was not proposing to give the results to Trump but to simply give the state legislature the chance (10 days) to investigate their outcome to see if the electors were indeed chosen correctly.
Several states had legislators officially write letters to Congress to request a delay in certifying the result, GIVING THEM TIME TO DETERMINE IF THEIR CERTIFICATION WAS INDEED CORECT IS *NOT* OVERTURNING THE VERDICT OF THE STATES. It is giving them a chance to determine if their verdict was indeed correct.
What’s Rand Paul’s problem with this?
Good Rand -I hope you feel the same way when you lose your Kentucky senate seat via fraud.
Good Rand -I hope you feel the same way when you lose your Kentucky senate seat via fraud. There ate virtually no reliable conservative politicians. Sellout all, save but a few. And I can name them on one hand
A member of Congress claiming that he had uphold the election fraud on the basis of federalism is just the congressional version of a judge claiming that a plaintiff has no standing. Both are dodges from cowards.
Hey Rand, what if the states themselves (like Pennsylvania) sent word to not certify the electors? Does that count????
Or was your head buried up your arse, too, like many of the others?
Wow, really disappointed in Rand Paul! Hiding behind ‘states rights’ rhetoric!
