Well written article except for this.

Despite the snow and cold awaiting the new deer hunters,

Hunters want some snow to track deer, especially if one hunts using the "Benoit Method".

Or if you wound one and have to track it.

Much easier with a little snow, blood and deer tracks are easy to see in snow.

Some snow is nice, cold no so much. I think they’re just stand hunting.
