I disagree. I think it reinforces it. Do you really believe either of these rats won fairly? The rats got away with blatantly stealing the Presidency in multiple states and the “republican” legislatures in all of those states did nothing about the steal. Georgia made zero changes to their voting rules even after the November election exposed serious issues. What made anybody believe the rats wouldn’t steal these elections also?
No one here is thankful that Susan Collins won. No one here cared Kelly Ayotte lost. Stupidity in Ray Moore’s loss was tolerable majority-wise but just think of the money/effort wasted covering our mistakes. Georgia is demographics. It’s gone. Too late to clean the voter rolls-rats won’t let it happen. So now what? NY/ILL turning red because of their exodus? I don’t think so.

There was talk a few years ago about forcibly converting some or all of everyone’s retirement funds into long-term government bond funds. Then the Feds could immediately spend the money used to purchase those bonds.
And it wouldn’t be outright theft. It would just be a dollar-for-dollar exchange. (Yeah, right.)
I don’t see this actually happening any time soon. But I do expect the idea to be brought up again.
Having a 401 these days, especially a Roth, is like having owned land in the South after the war between the states. Gone. Or when the Russians invaded east germany and poland during WWII: you got ten seconds to leave this farm and 9 of them are gone.

Liquidated my 401Ks Monday. Money is on its way to me already and will be hoarded along with guns, ammunition and non-perishables.

That is how they will do it. They will increase the tax rate on our 401Ks.
They will increase the capital gains rate too.
This is one of the reasons why Bit Coin has doubled in the last month. People are moving their money out of the USA and out of US dollars.
This is also why I sold all of my stock based mutual funds the week prior to Christmas. I went 100% into bonds. I have been 100% stocks since 1985. Even during the pull back of the Great recession.
