Agreed. But, the problem is we are not there yet. Modern-day Americans are NOT the same Americans of back in the day.
We are soft and spoiled. We are comfortable and loath to sacrifice our comfort. We may bitch and complain but, we will not willingly sacrifice anything to achieve what we bitch and complain about.
And, that is EXACTLY what our Enemies have bargained on.
None of the suggestions here will work, other than the powder and lead option, because they all depend on the votes being counted honestly....and that will not happen until a lot of people go to jail.
For instance, the election officials who defied court orders, specific instructions from judges, to allow observers. Those orders were openly defied. A clear case of contempt of court.
That presents an opportunity for the court to demonstrate that they intend to clean up the corruption.
As I recall, there is no appeal from contempt of court. The judge can rap your knuckles or put you in jail for as long as he wants and there is no recourse. That presents a wonderful opportunity to get serious.
There are other legal means that avoid the polling booth until such time as the voting process is honest.
It may come to powder and lead, but it is not the time just now.
I think local sheriffs should be brought into the plan. Some of this may be out of their authority but sheriffs are well aware of how local politics work.
I wish I were 30 years younger. I have a fantastic sheriff....but no staying power.
