I am. As of this month I have been in the hobby 64 years. Had to do the code for all 3 of my exams and I still operate CW.
Ham Radio is the greatest hobby ever. Mrs.teletech is also licensed and has 54 years in the hobby. She likes to be Net Control for a local VHF net. Both of my sons are also licensed and operate.

Good for you,with the CW.

I was trained as a CW Morse code operator when I was in Korea with the Army in the mid 50s.

Still haven't lost the ability to understand Morse code or transmit it, although I am not a Ham operator, and am rarely exposed to it now.

In Korea I used to listen to the hams on 7mhz using CW which would skip all the way from the USA to Korea. The hams callsigns then were: W1etc. thru W6etc. depending on geographical location in the USA.

We used a longwire antenna for military use, and now I notice J pole antennas seem to be the new thing in antennas for Hams. Sounds like a good improvement.

Good luck and I hope you continue to enjoy your hobby using CW. -Tom
