I live in SC low country. It is a very conservative state. Low taxes, low energy costs, gun friendly, great beaches and the southern culture is warm and friendly. I would recommend that you consider it as conservative redoubt.
I have read, that in SC annual vehicle tax, to get your license plate tags renewed, are off the chart high. Is that true?
I’m looking at York County currently. Need to be near a major airport but really like SC.
I love SC, especially the low country. My wife and I have a second home in Hilton Head. As current citizens of The Peoples Republic of Illinois, we’re looking at making it our permanent residence. I love the history, great golf courses and the beaches, but my wife is no big fan of the heat and humidity.
