I think Purdue and Loeffler might be playing a timing game. If they think that most Dems have already voted and most Republicans will vote today in person, then they are trying to appeal to both sides.

It probably won't matter. Mail-in fraud from Dems is going to be bad again. Any why not? They got away with it in November. As for Senator Tim Scott, take a look at this Tweet from Rich Baris ("The People's Pundit"):

No shock. He opposed a second term for @realDonaldTrump, as he told our friends while begging them for money repeatedly.

He made clear that it was his belief Trump hurt the GOP brand, as if they had one before him, and that the party would be better off in the longterm w/o him. https://t.co/qr7P1GjPDd

Tim Scott is hip tied to Trey Gowdy. Gowdy is, if you can believe it, actually much more discrete about sharing the same danged opinion, but always promotes Tim Scott and says he relies on Scott to do the right thing, paraphrased. They are very tight politically.

Neither have given Trump an inch if they could possibly avoid it.

Yes, I know Trey did finally opened his pie hole and said “if fraud was found in a presidential election, that’s treason.”
