Along a party line vote, John Fetterman has officially been removed as President of the Senate right now.
What we seem to have now is essentially two separate factions running the Pennsylvania State Senate, disagreeing on who has actual authority.

Second Term Trump brings expectations for Replacements in every Federal department. Pompeo respects that authority of the president to replace even him, and may Welcome it, so that he can run himself, in 2024.
Pompeo was addressing the first term under his management and the president. He would always hope the “next” secretary is set to manage the gains accomplished in international affairs, under this State Department.
