Here is my theory:
VP Pence will start counting electoral college votes on Wednesday as scheduled. Somehow Pence is going to kick the contested states back to their state legislatures and let them figure out their own messes. He will give them a time limit of some kind (like 10 days) to figure it out.
Part of the problem has been that many of the state legislatures are not back in session yet, and the governors have decided not to call special sessions.
This is what should have happened in the courts, because the Constitution says that it’s up to the state legislatures to decide their own electors for the electoral college.
This gives Team Trump more time to present evidence of what’s been happening and persuade state legislatures.
Many thankQs for your analysis!
So, WI legislators knew full well there were shenanigans going on, so figured to get the ball rolling to fix the mess.
Which state, WI or MI, shut out the electors from the statehouse?
