FYI, when I was last at Mt Vernon Estate, “our group” was told y our “tour guide” that LIQUOR, FRESH & DRIED FISH were the main “moneymakers” for GEN George & family.

Black Thorne is a good dry cider. Cold hard cider is my favorite for hot summer days. I prefer a sweeter cider than Black Thorne. They don’t fill me up like beer.
They are all different. There is one from Iceland thats wzy too sweet, Rekordering. Ace Pineapple Cider sounds weird but its very good. The Blood Orange one is awful.
There is another hard cider made with pears. It was almost as popular as apple cider. Its proper name is perry. A lot of it now is hard cider flavored with pear juice. You can still taste and smell apples in a lot of it. Look for versions that are all pear. Its a lighter flavor.
