Previous presidents went to the Episcopal church across the street from the White House for a small prayer service. Biden, loudly proclaiming that he is such a good Catholic, is going to a huge church. The Archbishop in Washington is an outspoken anti-trumper.
The Pope is questionable. Biden will restore financing for abortion soon. Everything about his term will be a fraud.
If Biden goes to the National Cathedral that won’t mean much from a Biblical standpoint at all. Pomp and circumstance. The VP’s living quarters aren’t far from there so Biden would be familiar with its location, and its use as a long-time running prop... plus the theater of the motorcade with all the flashing lights would entertain Biden immensely in going there.
As a practicing Catholic, why isn’t he going to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception?
Answer- because he commits a mortal sin by supporting abortion. spit He should be denied communion and further, he should refuse communion if he had ANY integrity whatsoever because he is in mortal sin by supporting abortion, and he knows the rules of the Catholic Church forbid the taking of communion when in mortal sin, and more importantly, he knows God’s rules above all else.
I attended a mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception as a Protestant, the night before a past March For Life in DC, and knew not to take of the sacraments because I had been divorced and knew that divorce disqualified Catholics from taking communion, therefore I too was prohibited from taking communion for the very same reason. When approached by a priest, I politely declined, saying that I was not permitted the sacraments. The priest understood and moved on to someone else.
If I, a Protestant know not to take communion because of a disqualifying event or conduct, then a devout life long Catholic ought to be familiar with the rules of the Catholic Church, and abide by the same.
