I mailed a Birthday card to GD in Canada today so I got a receipt which said:

“USPS is experiencing unprecedented volume increases and limited employee availability due to the impacts of COVID-19. We appreciate your patience.”

We have experienced trouble with getting bills on time to pay and had to do it over the phone.

I received a statement from December a week before I received the November statement.

Thanks for the info. I can understand the mail being extremely slow in the six weeks around Christmas because of COVID It has been here since last March, however, and these USPS slow downs were not here in the spring or summer. Christmas and the mail-in fraud election are both over so I’m not sure what’s happening now.

There was a lot of buzz about Trump’s appointment of Postmaster General early last summer. He made several changes that people did not like. Some said that they slowed things down a lot. The USPS reversed some of them early in the fall. Maybe this extreme slow down now is just so they have another problem that the faux president can fix almost immediately. Maybe all they have to do is tell the union people to go to work.
