That made me think...I recall reading in a history about quilting, how the designs reflected the times. For example, Victorian quilts used weeping willows a lot in their designs, Whig Rose patterns were popular back in the 1830s, etc.

Maybe some type of patriotic design or use patriotic fabric?

I have made patriotic quilts for veterans in Hospice when my husband was a Hospice volunteer. It’s rewarding, and I love working with the patriotic fabric. Good idea, though; I’ll go through my patriotic stash, and patterns, and maybe will land on an idea. Thanks!

And there’s a Child Advocacy Center nearby where my group donates.

Something will come to me, I’m sure.
