Heat could be inflammation, from a source like an infection or dry eyes.
What I had, I sure hope you don’t have! Cornea Neuropathy is when he cornea nerves run amuck, and it’s incredibly painful. I had a burning pain, first in my upper lids and then around the cornea. The pain can move around the eyes/face. It’s rare and only a handful of doctors treat it - or can even diagnose it. Most will be clueless and tell you it’s something else, something that doesn’t get better though.
