Abolish the DOE, then salt the Earth.
Unfortunately that would not solve the Federal interference issue. In the current law(amended 1965 ESEA) there is language to the affect if the DOE were to ever get shot from the driver’s seat, another agency would take over the reins. When the states took Common Core money back in 2009, the carrot was money for the selling of the soul for CC implementation.
