Sorry I nearly missed Monday! It’s 11pm, so just made it by an hour. Been working everyday lately.
My tulips and Daffodils are looking good. Still one variety of tulips in bud, and they will be orange. The purple and pink look good.
See ya Tuesday night

I’ll bet they are lovely. I have yellow tulips and I love them but I think some other stuff has crowded them. We need to move them.

I love the fact that bulbs multiply, but sometimes they need to be thinned out a bit.

April 27Learning from Foolishness
The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left. Even as fools walk along the road, they lack sense.
Ecclesiastes 10:2â3 A man walked into a convenience store in Wollongong, Australia, put a $20 bill on the counter and asked for change. When the clerk opened the cash drawer, the man pulled a gun and asked for all the cash in the register, which the clerk promptly provided. The man took the cash from the clerk and fled, leaving the $20 bill on the counter. The total amount of cash he got from the drawer?
Fifteen dollars. We all act foolishly at timesâeven if, unlike this thief, weâre trying to do the right thing. The key is how we learn from our foolish behavior. Without correction, our poor choices can become habits, which will negatively shape our character. Weâll become âfools . . . [who] lack senseâ (Ecclesiastes 10:3).Â
Sometimes itâs hard to admit our foolishness because of the extra work it requires. Perhaps we need to reflect on a particular character flaw, and thatâs painful. Or maybe we need to admit that a decision was made hastily and next time we should take more care. Whatever the reason, it never pays to ignore our foolish ways.
Thankfully, God can use our foolishness to discipline and shape us. Discipline isnât âpleasant at the time,â but its training yields good fruit in the long run (Hebrews 12:11). Letâs accept our Fatherâs discipline for our foolish behavior and ask Him to make us more like the sons and daughters He intends us to be.
Reflect & Pray
Whatâs a recent foolish choice youâve made? What do you think God wants you to learn from it?
Thank You, Father, for using my foolishness to train me. May I accept Your discipline graciously as You continue to work in me.

Happy Gratituesday!

The Moon is Far enough away that it doesn't get caught in the the World's Gravity and come crashing down. That would be a BIG Disaster, and so I'm grateful for That.
It's close enough, however, to stay in Orbit around the Earth, which is also a Good Thing, and doesn't get flung off into space.
It's just the right size so as to have just the right amount of gravity to provide the Earth's Oceans with cleansing, life-sponsoring Tides, twice a Day, Everyday.
The Phases of the moon help govern our concept of time, going through the same phases every month, year in and year out.
And, to top things off, it's lovely to look at!
Thank You, God!

April 28Cuddling In
Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.
Psalm 116:7âDaddy, will you read to me?â my daughter asked. Itâs not an unusual question for a child to make of a parent. But my daughter is eleven now. These days, such requests are fewer than they were when she was younger. âYes,â I said happily, and she curled up next to me on the couch.
As I read to her (from The Fellowship of the Ring), she practically melted into me. It was one of those glorious moments as a parent, when we feel perhaps just an inkling of the perfect love our Father has for us and His deep desire for us to âcuddle inâ to His presence and love.
I realized in that moment that Iâm a lot like my eleven-year-old. Much of the time, Iâm focused on being independent. Itâs so easy to lose touch with Godâs love for us, a tender and protective love that Psalm 116 describes as âgracious and righteous . . . full of compassionâ (v. 5). Itâs a love where, like my daughter, I can curl up in Godâs lap, at home in His delight for me.
Psalm 116:7 suggests that we might need to regularly remind ourselves of Godâs good love, and then crawl up into His waiting arms: âReturn to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.â And indeed, He has.
Reflect & Pray
When was the last time you rested quietly in Godâs love? What barriers, if any, might keep you from experiencing the Fatherâs delight for you?
Father, thank You for Your perfect love for me. Help me to remember that love and to rest in Your goodness and delight in me.
