That’s not the Constitutional nor conservative position in red states. The law says that lawful gun owners and licensed CCs can keep their weapons locked inside the vehicle.
As with vaccines, the employer has no business denying gun rights on my travel to/from work. My car is private property!
But the solution there, as with vaxx, is to put liability on the employer for the safety of the employee.
