I hope he’s not just spitting out nonsense - but somehow, I think he has a handle on what he can say, since that is his line of work.
Either Lin actually knows the facts regarding Robert’s or he’s certain enough to put himself on a kamikaze mission to force the facts into the open. The accusations he has made against Robert’s are appalling. If it is defamatory, Roberts almost has to sue him. Silence in a matter like this confirms the accusation as truth.
I think his point, with his remark about defamation, is that it’s only defamation if it isn’t true. And if it isn’t true, why doesn’t he deny it? Roberts seems to me like kind of a woosy. Maybe a weak link. Possible to flip.
