Yep, a business has to have at least 20 employees and you can file as soon as you turn 40, which seems ridiculously young, at least to me.
There are many ways to hide the discrimination though. No hiring manager is going to scratch “too old” across the application, unless they’re aching for some legal expenses to write off.

My (now retired) corporate savvy wife says it’s always been 40.
Don’t look at me, I know nothing about the corporate world other than her horror stories.
