Spray canned air in the vents that hot air comes out in nice long bursts. You should hear the fans spin down and up. This blows the lint away from the cooling fin grid. The fans spin back up blowing the junk back on the fins but some will blow through each time you do it.
Repeat till the can is icy. When the can is icy the pressure drops so don’t waste the air.
DH will do it, he has a couple of large compressed air machines that he somehow uses. I will get him to do it soon. The kind of design of my laptop is such that it is hard to get at the fan, last time he had to take it apart.
