Long timers on FR have no excuse. None whatsoever. They just like to be the way they are.

After 20 years of lurking daily, you get know the various prominent personalities a bit. You identify the ones who think they’re pretty smart. There was also that embarrassing incident of freepers having been scammed by another freeper claiming to have inside information about I do not recall what, but it was bad for Jim and the site.
Forgive me for not recalling the scam or the scammer’s name, but it made everyone hyper-alert about larps going forward, understandably so. Some dug their heels in so hard over Q in the beginning that it made it impossible for them to admit this situation might be the real deal after all. I think that former incident led to us being confined here too. I’m actually delighted about everything we need being in one place.
It’s often very hard for the very smart ones to admit they’re wrong, having strenuously committed themselves to the wrong side for so long, certain that this was another larp. In short, I sort of get it, but not really after a point.
The thing I most considered about “Q” was: 1) answer the questions (less a larp than self investigation + discovery). 2) Trump is master in communications - ala Reagan he needed a way around the complicit media. If not “Q” then what? Either “Q” is it - and beyond long well established legitimacy IMO - then Trump has none. Oh and he has no plan either. For anything. everything. Yeah right ... it’s most likely the opposite and every day forward is one less remaining ... this movie is action packed! WWG1WGA + Maranatha :)
