Because he never held a press conference to tell us that the accusations against the president were false becase he (Pence) was the only one on the transition team who met with Biden and discussed Ukraine.
When the video of Joe Biden bragging about shaking down the Ukraine (withholding money unless Hunter prosecuter fired) could have taken to the mike and affirmed that Biden had been briefing him on the Ukraine and offered the contents of their discussions.
