One of those factors may be that it’s against Irish law for their children be adopted outside of Ireland.

If Roberts was complicit in breaking Irish law by participating in the adoption of his two Irish-born children through a third country, that’s a terrible look for the chief arbiter of justice of the United States.

It is against Irish law to adopt Irish children out of hte country. They have to remain in Ireland. This was discussed on FR quite some time ago. If Irish children somehow made it to South America, that was illegal right there, and if someone adopted them from SA, they participated in illegal adoptions, and may have arranged it.

Also there is some evidence he is/was a homo, photo of him with some young men in Provincetown MA that is ... odd. I’ve seen it. He did not marry until 40, and his very first job after becoming a licensed attorney was pro bono work of Lambda international, a “gay rights” org dedicated to pushing homo agenda. So there are some oddiites about him.
