That piece of music in POTUS video by Copeland is called, Hoedown.
“Got Milk?”
I hereby offer up Hoedown*Aaron Copeland as the next dead horse.
I believe that piece of music was selected for two brilliant reasons:
The 3 sharp bam*bam*bam at the end. The "there was not one piece of fuckery in this piece" decisiveness at the end. BAM!
2. Hoedown is an iconic piece of American music, taken from a suite of songs that weave parts of American folk music throughout. Copeleand wrote this suite for Agnes...I can't remember her name but she's...oh heck, wait a minute...DE MILLE! She choreographed the ballet "Rodeo", which included "Hoedown". She was a famous choreographer back in the 30-60s. There's a good "down on their luck" backstory to this ballet. Suffice it to say, for years after reading some about Copeland, I called him a hack! Of course I've changed my mind.
The important thing about the music for this commercial is this...when you hear the music, you turn to see what it's about, don't you?
