L.J., if Roberts represented the gay rights org, LAMDA, then why did they oppose his nomination?

I still suspect that this is a mixup because a DIFFERENT JOHN ROBERTS (of the Mass. ACLU) represented the evil NAMBLA.
It is not a mixup. I read several articles about his pro bono work for LAMBDA Legal years ago. LAMBDA obviously thought he wasn’t hard core enough.
