I am copying this rabbinical story about gossip to share. Where did you get it? I want more!
_______________________________________________________

I got it about 30 years ago from a Jewish golfing friend to whom I showed poor character and bad judgment by repeating a bit of gossip I had heard. She gently rebuked me and told me that story, which she presumably heard from her Rabbi.

The information I repeated turned out to be true and was something we’d have all learned before very long anyway, but it wasn’t my information to tell, so I learned two lessons that day. The shame I felt stayed with me and burned the story into my brain.

Ah ... the sins of our youth.

Yeah.... I have a lot burned into my memory banks. I’ve read books of rabbinical stories, and have you ever read Isaac Singer’s stories? I love them.

(sorry for literary/rabbinical stories slide)
