If it’s just your vocals, I would go with the Tascam hand held. They come with pretty good condenser mics and are capable of recording a pin drop from 10 feet away.
Here you go. On sale for $89

As an entrepreneur with a business that is directly connected to the music industry, my website is in the mastering credits of 5-6 classic albums including an iconic jazz artist on the Capitol label.
What’s the fidelity like? I tried one that is cheaper. It’s an Evistr. It didn’t come out that great.
I’m assuming you want to use the pad as your recorder/mixer/processor? As long as it connects to the lightning port.... whatever the geeks recommend for your budget.

If you can’t handle 499.00 all at once, Sweetwater has a credit option.
IK multimedia iRig will work great. Actually, you can set the audio in your notepad to “uncompressed” and get a decent recording with just your phone.
That's the bitchin' part about it! It don't matter! If you can't afford it, F..... FINANCE IT!
So what if it's as big as a Subaru and costs as much? You'll never have to trade this in! This is gonna be with you for the rest of your life! And when you die, they can BURY you in it!
I don’t have that model. I have a couple of older models. Never had an issue with them. If you don’t like it I’m pretty sure Sweetwater will let you return it. They’re great guys. You might even want to call and talk to a rep. Everyone there is a musician. Tell them what you are going to use it for and they can advise you on what you need.
We’re talking musicians, man!
So what if it’s obsolete by the time you pay it off? To the diehard audiophile, when you gotta have it, you gotta have it NOW.
What else can one do —take the kid’s stamp collection to the pawnshop? C’mon.
I thought Q said all the Audiophiles would be doing hard time in GITMO.
“I’m still trying to locate my dad’s “reel to reel” from back in the day. I’ve got hours on end of great music but no way to play it.”
Finally gave away all my old stuff last year. Amazon HD now.
These days you can find it for next to nothing; it's a multi-track recording program sort of like a basic Pro Tools setup.
you can record everything into a single track, or individually into as many tracks as you like and then mix together for a master track.
There is a bit of a learning curve if you're not familiar with recording programs, but not terrible.
Pick up a 2 mic channel Behringer mixer, stereo output, for about $60. This plugs directly into your laptop.
One or two decent mics and you're all set. I would highly recommend a Shure SM-58. Great mic and not expensive.
Good luck-
I have this (an older version)
Works great.
Rugged
Does .Wav and Mp3.
Lots of pros use these.
Aaah. My TEAC reel to reel I brought back from Vietnam. Great piece of equipment.
I fondly remember playing hours and hours of Motown and Blues music on my dad’s Sony Reel to Reel when I was like eight or nine years old.
I know a guy who should still have a pretty good home audio studio setup.
He retired from his regular job and last I checked still plays jazz type music.
I need a small job.
A thing I got myself for Christmas, knowing it was vinyl, was the show music from the old BW Untouchables series. Cheap and still in the plastic. I need it bumped over to some digital format. No point buying a turntable and converter for a one time.
I like TV and movie soundtracks, especially older stuff and oddball types.
Usually I rip a CD and port to a phone. A disc rarely gets touched again if ever after.
I’ve sold a few off that aren’t that important to me but worth a few bucks to some out there. Some more are leaving.
